New developments and existing properties make up a rich portfolio of affordable housing in the Greater Hartford area.
In 2012, MHAGH began the Summit Park project to convert six vacant and blighted structures into vibrant, attractive housing in Frog Hollow. Beginning in 2015, the six historic buildings have been transformed to create 42 high-quality, affordable rental units for families, seniors and people with special needs. The first phase of occupancy began in May 2016, and full occupancy is expected in December 2016. Amenities and features include green building design, solar panels, granite countertops, hardwood floors and on-site management.
Park Terrace I Renovations
Park Terrace Mutual Housing was MHAGH’s first property, purchased in 1989. The 7 contiguous “Perfect 6” buildings that face Pope Park have been updated to provide modern amenities with historic charm. New granite countertops and hardwood floors throughout are just some of the features that make Park Terrace Mutual Housing distinct.
