The Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford, Inc. develops and manages affordable housing in Greater Hartford while engaging residents in leadership and educational opportunities.


The Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford, Inc. (MHAGH) is a non-profit housing development and management firm that works within the Mutual Housing model, as defined by Connecticut law.

Essential to the organization's mission is our commitment to diversity. Located on Dart and Brookfield Streets in Hartford's Behind-The-Rocks neighborhood, Dart Gardens has a total of 54 units including large two and three bedroom townhouses with hardwood floors, private entrances and full basements.

Mutual Housing acquired the property in 1996 and installed new energy efficient windows, completed kitchen and bathroom upgrades, built new entrances and constructed a community building. The community building provides meeting space for resident activities such as resident council meetings, holiday parties and after school programs.
