The Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford, Inc. develops and manages affordable housing in Greater Hartford while engaging residents in leadership and educational opportunities.


The Mutual Housing Association of Greater Hartford, Inc. (MHAGH) is a non-profit housing development and management firm that works within the Mutual Housing model, as defined by Connecticut law.

Essential to the organization's mission is our commitment to diversity. Located at 222-248 Park Terrace in Hartford's Frog Hollow neighborhood, this development consists of 7 six family contiguous "Perfect Sixes" converted into 14 one bedroom and 28 two bedroom flats. Although many of the properties surrounding the development deteriorated during the economic down turn in the 1990's, Park Terrace is a testament to the power of resident involvement. Through the efforts of its residents as well as the Mutual Housing staff, since its completion in 1991, Park Terrace has had a stabilizing effect on the neighborhood.
