|  | | Located in Windsor Locks, this development entailed the conversion of St. Mary's School, built in 1888, into 21 two and three bedroom apartments. The construction included creating a third story from the 32 foot high attic and inserting dormers into the roof.
This development was the first HOME funded project in the State of Connecticut and also combined the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. The property features spacious apartments, duplexes and flats, 14 foot ceilings, 8 foot windows and a community and fitness room in the basement. The original financing provided for the creation of the community space, and the residents developed the exercise/fitness room.
