Park Street Retail Space Community Meeting

MHAGH is pleased to announce that it has received a $50,000 grant as part of NeighborWorks® America’s Strategic Investment Fund. The funds will be used to develop two of the commercial spaces owned by MHAGH at 987-901 Park Street, in Hartford’s Frog Hollow neighborhood. MHAGH is considering creating a housing center in the space that would offer retail access for our First Time Home Buyer, Ready to Rent and Leadership Classes. It could potentially offer freelance office space for self-employed people in the neighborhood or a community friendly space for local banks to meet with potential customers or conduct mortgage closings. Combined, the store fronts total about 2,000 square feet and there may also be room for a small coffee/baked goods station that could be managed by an MHAGH resident.

The first stage of the project will be to engage community stakeholders in a discussion of what types of programs or services might best serve the community.
